Brigjen Sudarto has worked as an army officer from Second Lieutenant to Brigadier General and had many positions in the Indonesian army. In his career, the main awards he received were the Bintang Kartika Eka Paksi Nararya and Bintang Dharma Bantala Badge. He is currently serving as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law at Marshal Suryadharma University (UNSURYA).

As a General, Brigjen Sudarto is also a doctor of law with experience in handling military, civil, and criminal cases.
